I’m Mike, a self-employed computer guy, internet guru, and gadget geek based in Battle, East Sussex. Whether it’s building websites, fundraising for Battle Bonfire Night, or flying my drone, there’s always something keeping me busy.
Born and raised in Battle, the town has always been home. From watching the Bonfire procession as a kid, catching marbles on the green to snowball fights in front of the Abbey, the local community has played a huge role in shaping who I am today.
Technology has always been a passion. Whether it’s designing websites, managing social media, or fixing up computers and laptops. Flying drones is another obsession (because, let’s be honest, they’re amazing). Being part of Battle Bonfire is a huge source of pride, from helping with Bonfire Night to being on the award-winning firework display team. Community events like the BBB10K, Battle’s Bonanza summer fête, and the carnival are also on the calendar, along with volunteering for Remembrance Day and the Christmas lights switch-on.
With an OND in Computer Hardware, an HND in Computer Programming, and a BSc in Computing, there’s a solid tech background behind everything I do. Web design is the main gig, running Webovio to help small businesses and sole traders get online with affordable, results-driven websites. Other projects and commitments are always in the mix, and there’s always room for more.
